2011 CFFA Conference – Silent Auction

Each year at the Canadian Foster Family Association (CFFA) National Conference a Silent Auction is held. Provinces and Territories are asked to donate items for the silent auction, and members attending are encouraged to donate items as well. In past years it has been very successful and fun for all those attending having the opportunity to bid on items from across Canada.

The silent auction is an important fundraiser for us with proceeds used to publish our newsletter, the Bulletin, costs of our annual conference and Annual General Meeting etc.

While packing your bags for this year’s conference being held in beautiful Prince Edward Island, include some items for the silent auction. If you will not be attending and would like to donate, please contact your Provincial CFFA Director who will be attending and could bring your items.

Special Membership Campaign

We are pleased to announce that Westjet has donated: TWO RETURN AIRLINE TICKETS ANYWHWERE THEY FLY for our Fundraising/Membership Campaign!!

The draw for the two Westjet tickets is for New or Renewal memberships, both donor and organizational (other organizations who would like to join the CFFA).  The draw will take place at the 2011 CFFA Conference being held in PEI this coming June.

Prince Edward Island Federation of Foster Families is hosting the CFFA’s National Conference entitled “Building Bridges”.

May 8 – 14, 2011, Delta Prince Edward Hotel, Charlottetown, PEI.

The organizing committee is planning a number of events for the week including: workshops, national meetings and social events. We invite delegates and others from across Canada to join us. We will keep you informed as Conference details become available.
