Board of Directors
The Canadian Foster Family Association is run by a Volunteer Board of Directors comprised of foster parents from across the country. These Directors are selected by Provincial and Territorial Foster Family Associations.

Tammy Roberts
Tammy is from Yellowknife, NT and is a bio/foster/adoptive parent and a grandparent to five. She was a stay at home mom for 22 years providing emergency and long-term care to approximately 250 children. She has been a foster parent since 1993 and is now Mom to nine. Tammy was instrumental in the Yellowknife Foster Family Association for many years and was involved in the formation of the Foster Family Coalition of the NWT. She has been involved with the CFFA as a voting delegate since 1994 and has attended many conferences. From 2009 – 2015 she was the NT Director and in 2015 was elected into the position of secretary.
Tammy is currently the Executive Director of the Foster Family Coalition of the NWT and has been since 2009. She has also been the Executive Director of Home Base Yellowknife since 2020. Tammy has been on the CanFASD Research Network Family Advisory Committee and the Stanton Territorial FASD Diagnostic Team. Because of her work with children and families across the north, she was recognized with the Golden Jubilee Medal in 2002. Tammy likes to spend time with family, taking on home renovation projects as well as playing and watching sports.
